Manifesto | 2010-2026

I share this brief “manifesto” as a framework.

My lens on the world is both broad and narrow.

§  I break things down into their core elements to get the essence of a person, situation, or problem.

§  I see the elephant in the room. I understand its immediate and societal implications.  I name the elephant—allowing solutions to reveal themselves. The obscure becomes obvious.

§  I react to/see/view/interpret life as art, inviting a certain amount of chaos before collaborating with others to reassemble the parts of a problem elegantly. Complex challenges are now understandable and actionable.

My leadership style is high-touch, playful, and straightforward.

§   I initiate conversation about the uncomfortable yet essential topics (death, population control, the “dumb” question).

§   Context and “hands-on experience” help me fully understand.

§   I collect and connect diverse people, organizations, resources, and ideas.

§   I am high-touch—hand-drawing or conversing at the farmers market.

§   I am fueled by nature and thrive on creative team collaboration.

§   What I do and how I do it needs to involve laughter, joy, community, or I can’t keep going.

I create results on a scale that matters in the big picture.

§  I awaken, inspire, and champion a wide range of individuals and diverse groups to work together in unexpected ways.

§  I entice and encourage people—including myself—to tap into their own essence and that of the problem they are solving and to enjoy (themselves in) the process.

§  I stick with it until it all seems obvious (afterwards)—once it (really) works.

My Values:   Curiosity – Integrity – Joy
